I love to read! I know these are very popular titles, so maybe you’ve already read them, but maybe you would like The Princess Bride, or Stardust? I read them both a long time ago, so I don’t remember what age the content is geared towards, but I think they are safe. 🙂 Great job on your podcast!

      Bethany,

I love to read too. 😀

I had never realized that the Princess Bride was a book! It is kinda funny that you brought that up now – we watched it last weekend. Such a good movie, if you don’t watch the torture scenes. *shivers* Anyway, now I have to get that book! 🙂 Thanks for the recommendation. If I love it, I will probably podcast on it.

I have never heard of Stardust, and the internet won’t load Amazon right now. I’ll look at it later – it sounds pretty good!

      Thanks so much!

      Bethany –

When you say Stardust, do you mean the one by Neil Gaiman? My library has both that one and the princess bride – cant wait to go and get them! 😀

      Thanks!

I do!! It’s a great fairy tale, adventure, romance story. 🙂 I hope you enjoy the books!

I hope I do too! I have a few books due at the library by Tuesday, so I should get over there soon! 🙂

Great job Brett! I love reading as well. Have you read The Hunger Games trilogy? I enjoyed them very much. I just finished a great history/romance book called The Shoemaker’s Wife. I think it would be appropriate for your age. I literally could not stop reading!

Oh…and I have Five Little Peppers…and read that to my kids when they were small!

I love the Five Little Peppers. 😀 I am actually reading Phronsie Pepper right now – Phronsie is growing up, Polly is married, (with two kids!) Joel is in collage, and I’m not sure where Ben and Davie are… 😀

      Thanks, Anne!

I have not read the Hunger Games – I don’t really want to! I rad the Gregor books (also by Suzanne Collins) and they have a horrible ending. When I complained about that to the friend I borrowed them from, he said the Hunger Games were even worse. Mom thinks that I should wait a while before reading them, and I am fine with that. 🙂

I’ll look into the Shoemakers Wife – it sounds interesting!

      Thanks!

Great podcast, Brett! (And I love the ‘Book Squirt’ name!) 🙂 You are a natural! When I was younger, I enjoyed reading the ‘Ramona the Pest’ books, and also ‘The Baby Sitters Club’. Happy Reading, and keep up the good work!

      Thanks, Jonie!

I love reading Beverly Cleary books – they are so funny sometimes. 😀 And with 7 siblings, I can totally relate to Ramona. Just about everything she did one of my siblings has done one time or another. LOL

      Thanks!

I used to read my daughter’s books first too but know with 3 reading it’s harder to do. I like the idea of your podcast and I think you did a great job.

    Our family loves to read!

One of my favorite books that I think you’d like too is Girl of the Limberlost. It’s an old book but it’s so good!

I have read both Girl of the Limberlost and Keeper of the Bees. Gene Stratton-Porter is a great author!! 😀

      Thanks!

I like your site, and it’s very well done. I too love books and have as long as I can remember. I get nervous if I have nothing to read and I’m glad to hear someone likes to read because I have a hard time understanding people who don’t read. Have you read Mark Twain? Innocents Abroad and Life on the Mississippi are some of my favorites. Good luck in your endeavors.

      Hey Karin,

I have read several Mark Twain books. His Joan Of Arc was really good… 🙂

      Thanks!
